A REAL Drive for Charity

Our 7Y REAL classes are delighted with the amount of goods they were able to pass on to the FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together) charity shops. The van came to school this week to collect the goods our students have collected during their drive – an act of kindness that will have an impact on their community.

During their middle project in REAL, with the driving question, ‘Can kindness change the world?’, our students were given a talk from representatives from the charity organisation FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together). They began to understand the impact of donating good quality, unwanted goods to charity shops and how this benefits both those who buy from charity shops who save money by doing so but also because vital funds are raised to support people and their families coping with a diagnosis of cancer.

The REAL students and staff would like to thank everyone who contributed to this drive.
