Angel House takes its name from the iconic statue which dominates the skyline in Gateshead near the A1. The Angel of the North, designed by Turner Prize winner Anthony Gormley was built to last, with foundations containing 600 tonnes of concrete supporting the 20m tall sculpture. Constructed from 200 tonnes of steel with an impressive 54 metre wing span, the Angel can withstand winds of over 100 mph.
Angel House may not bear the strength of 200 tonnes of steel, but our strength against the opposition is underpinned by our unwavering enthusiasm, resilience and determination. All members of Angel House are blessed with the qualities of:
Appreciating all others
Never giving up
Going the extra mile
Loving lending a hand
Yellow is our House colour and represents our ethos, by the way it is uplifting and illuminating, while offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.
