Named after the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Baltic House – the new improved version (some of you may remember the old Baltic House at Kingsmeadow) has been revived, just like its namesake, into a thriving, inspirational and winning format built on the historical strength and foundations of what went before .
We have a fantastic team of people as House Tutors – we have the dynamic wisdom of Mrs. McGarry and Mr. Murray in sixth form, the unrivalled historical knowledge and creativity of Mrs. Langley in year 11, the ‘losing is not an option’ approach of Miss Shaw in year 10, the adventure and spirit of Mrs Simpson in year 9, the calm, highly logical and strategic Mr. Stringer in year 8 and the dynamic duo of myself and the determined and tactically motivated Ms. Coupe in year 7 … what a team!
Alongside this we also have, proudly flying the flag for the Balticean red team, Mrs. Shepherd, Mrs Wallace, Ms Mills, Mr. Hood, Mrs Turner and Mrs. Georgeson …
As with other famous ‘red’ teams, such as our very own ‘Red Arrows’ who fly over the Baltic Centre for Art on every Great North Run day, we are going for ‘Brilliance’ in every aspect of our lives – classroom, community, sports field … we’re a winning team preparing to push forward our levels of commitment, perseverance, discipline and teamwork.
