Our second Learning for Life (L4L) day of the academic year took place earlier this week, with students taking part in a wide range of activities to promote Careers Information Advice and Guidance, Citizenship and Health Education.
Sessions were delivered by a range of external speakers and Kingsmeadow staff and covered topics such as mental health, drug and alcohol awareness and the nature of democracy to name but a few.
Our year 7 students also took part in a full day of session based on Remembrance Day, with the students learning about the significance of the cross, the poppy and the cenotaph and also learning about war veterans in the community and being given the opportunity to write their own war poetry.
Thank you to everyone who supported the day and helped to make it such a success.
The next Learning for Life day will take place on Thursday 25th January.
