Our third L4L day of the year took place on Thursday 25th January and once more gave all of our students the opportunity to experience lessons which are slightly different from those taught during the normal school day. Our L4L days are designed to ensure that students learn about important subjects such as:
- PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education)
- RSE (Relationships and Sex Education)
- Safeguarding (including Online Safety and Drug and Alcohol Awareness)
- British Values
- CIAG (Careers Information Advice and Guidance)
During this L4L day, our year 8 and 10 students gained a valuable insight into the world of work during our careers focused activities, including a careers fair which featured exhibitions from employers from all over the region.
Year 7 students were also privileged to attend several talks from key speakers who came into school to talk about their faith, linking in with our REAL driving question “Can Kindness Change The World?”
Specialists also came into school to deliver sessions on RSE and Drug and Alcohol Awareness, ensuring that our students are keeping themselves and each other safe in the world outside of school.
We would like to that the many guests who gave up their time to speak to visit us and the staff at school who work tirelessly to ensure an enriching and rewarding experience for our students.
The next L4L day will take place on Thursday 22nd March.
