As part of our Travel and Tourism curriculum we organised a visit to Newcastle City Centre last week. The students had a tour and talk at Newcastle keep to tell them about the history of the building and how they market and promote the venue. Our students really enjoyed the experience and took part whole-heartedly in the all the activities – even being put in the stocks!
We then had lunch in a local Italian restaurant where students ordered their own food and discussed how they would review the restaurant.
Finally we had a trip to The Cycle Hub for a talk on specialist tourism from Lizzie at Skedaddle Holidays. The students asked insightful questions and listened carefully to help them with their up coming exam. Then they were treated to cookies and muffins thanks to the generosity of the Cycle Hub.
As always our students were at all times polite and a credit to the school.
